Safety Officer

Position: Safety Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for all aspects of the Enceladus mission, including but not limited to, launch and landing, water collection and storage, and transportation of the water back to Earth.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external organizations to ensure that all safety concerns are addressed and risks are minimized.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees and contractors involved in the Enceladus mission.
  • Monitor and assess potential safety hazards and risks, and implement appropriate controls to mitigate these risks.
  • Investigates and reports any incidents or near-misses that occur during the mission, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in space safety regulations, guidelines and best practices to ensure that the company is compliant with all relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Act as a point of contact for safety-related issues and ensure that safety concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
